Students of the Year
The Students of the Year campaign is a philanthropic leadership development program through which highly motivated, high-school leaders embark on a journey of professional growth, ensuring that they stand out when preparing for college and beyond. During the program, students foster professional skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and project management in order to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Student leaders fundraise for LLS in honor of children who are blood cancer survivors. The title Student(s) of the Year is awarded to the candidate or co-candidate team in each community that raises the most funds during the 7-week competition.
Congratulations to all 2020 Students of the Year candidates and team members. We are currently accepting nominations for 2021 candidates.
Meet Kenslye, our 2021 Honored Hero. Kenslye was diagnosed with ALL in October of 2018 at the age of 2 and a half. She was rushed to Phoenix Children’s Hospital where she received her first treatment. She caught a cold and had to spend Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas in isolation at the hospital. Kenslye is currently in remission but continues to take oral medication. She is scheduled to finish in January 2021. She loves to spend time with her twin sister and five other siblings. We encourage each of you to think of Kenslye during the course of your campaign! Thank you Kenslye, for being such an inspiration for all of us!
